Development and Cancer

WG 1 - Glycan-based correlations in developmental and cancer biology.

Discussion and exchange of knowledge and know-how between INNOGLY participants will be focused on the concept that cell behaviour and processes that are indispensable for embryonic development are also essential for cancer progression.

  • Investigate correlations between the glycosylation pattern changes in cancer and embryonic development.
  • Promote the development of novel and improved biosensors for detection and characterization of glycan biomarkers, and identification of new targets of protein glycosylation.
  • Promote the development of smart tools and innovative techniques for tracking glycosylation pathways.
