Special Issue “Current Advances in Protein Glycosylation”

The field of protein glycosylation is scientifically and technologically increasing remarkably. Structurally complex and heterogeneous glycans on proteins govern many fundamental processes, such as protein conformation, stability, clearance, subcellular localization, receptor activation, cell signaling, and adhesion. The glycan code (glycocode), although far from being fully deciphered, is capital as abnormal protein glycosylation is found to be associated with diseases such as congenital disorders of glycosylation, cancer, inflammation, and immunity and neurodegenerative diseases.

It is our pleasure to invite you to submit an article for a Special Issue of the journal Molecules on the subject of “Current Advances in Protein Glycosylation“. The article may be either a full paper or a communication based on your own research in this area, or may be a focused review article on some aspect of the subject.

The deadline for submission of manuscripts to the Special Issue is March 1st 2020. If you plan to submit a review article, please provide me with a title and brief description at your earliest convenience, in order to avoid multiple reviews covering the same material.

For more information, please follow the link to the Special Issue Website at: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/molecules/special_issues/Protein_Glycosylation

Molecules (IF 3.08) is an open access journal with publishing fees of 1800 CHF for an accepted paper (see http://www.mdpi.com/about/apc/  for details). All submissions will be subject to peer review. Please note that for papers submitted after December 31st 2019, an APC of 2000 CHF applies.

For information on manuscript preparation and related matters, please see the instructions for authors: http://www.mdpi.com/journal/molecules/instructions
